90th Birthday Party for Effie

Effie Hallaron, a resident of Barrogil House, recently celebrated her 90th birthday with a party for 24 of her friends and family. Effie turned 90 on the 1st February, the same day as her daughter Jan became 70 so there was a double celebration that day. The other residents and staff of Barrogil House also joined in the party wishing both ladies "Many Happy Returns".
Effie has been a resident of Barrogil House for three years but previously worked there herself as a cook before retiring so she is very at home there. Anne Lindsay, one of the present cooks at the care home, baked and decorated Effie's beautiful birthday cake proving again her special skills at cake decoration which made her the winner of last year's Christmas cake competition between the seven Kingdom Homes care homes.
