Wedding Anniversary Contratulations

Jimmy and Isabel on their 63rd wedding anniversary.

Jimmy and Isabel Docherty celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary at Barrogil House on 31st January 2010. They were both originally from Cowdenbeath and married in 1947. Jimmy worked at Bowhill Colliery in Fife whilst Isabel worked in the post office before her marriage. Jimmy played coronet in the Salvation Army band and Isabel enjoyed dressmaking, kinitting and crochet in her spare time. They have one daughter, Christine and a grandson David.

Reaching your 63rd wedding anniversary is no mean feat. Jimmy and Isabel clearly have the recipe for a long and happy marriage. We wish them many more years together.

31st January was a great day for celebrations at Barrogil House with Effie Hallaron celebrating her 90th birthday (see news story dated 12th Feb) so one big party was held for everyone to join in.
