Who's who at Barrogil House.

Carol Mathieson – Manager

Carol qualified as a Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) in 1991 and was appointed Staff Nurse in an NHS psycho geriatric unit. She worked in various NHS roles specialising in acute psychiatry/ dementia related roles. Having initially worked for Kingdom Homes as a Bank Nurse she joined the permanent staff in 2007 as a Staff Nurse at Methven House Nursing Home. On learning that the company were to open a specialist dementia unit at Roselea House Carol applied to transfer there as it gave her the opportunity to specialise in dementia care which she has always found extremely interesting and rewarding.

Carol can also list training amongst her skills. She is a key Champion Trainer with MacMillan Palliative Care and helps to train other Kingdom Homes employees in palliative care. She has also provided Moving and Handling training.

She has now taken up her first managerial post within Kingdom Homes at Barrogil House and looks forward to the challenges and opportunities that this brings.
